Shelli Finch, board member
Shelli is an administrative assistant at Emerson Process Management and a professional artist. For the past decade Shelli has been active in the arts community in Marshalltown, serving as a board member of the Central Iowa Art Association, M-PAC, and the Linn Creek Arts Festival. She is a strong advocate for arts programming and healthy arts organizations in the community. She has a BA in English from Northwest Missouri State University and an MA in Adult Education & Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix. She has taught several art classes at the Central Iowa Art Association and Art Appreciation at Marshalltown Community College.
Fun Fact: She has a teenage son, Spencer, and three dogs named, Pumpkin Loves Picasso, Jellybean Sushi, and Macy Mae.
Shelli believes that everyone should have access to the arts as "they are languages that all people speak that cut across racial, social, education, and economic barriers and enhance cultural appreciation and awareness." (Johns Hopkins School of Education)
