The Marshall County Arts & Culture Alliance connects our communities to arts and culture by supporting, promoting and enriching existing opportunities, and by seeking new possibilities.
The Marshall County Arts & Culture Alliance sees a future in which arts and culture thrive and our communities flourish.
Established in 2004, the Marshall County Arts & Culture Alliance was designed not to replace any existing arts organizations but rather to assist in collaboration, coordination and marketing efforts. A 501(c)3 not-for-profit, the Alliance is an initiative of the Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation. Headquartered in Marshalltown, Iowa, the Alliance strives to grow and better area arts and culture organizations while helping connect them to the community. In 2013 the Alliance started an in-depth long-term strategic plan, which brought about a full-time executive director in 2014, and creating a full board of directors.
The Alliance sponsors the Marshalltown Art Festival, in addition has a division , the Marshalltown Public Art Committee.
